Exam Preparation
at DRI

Before Your MRI

Arrive 30 minutes early, bringing your insurance card(s) and photo ID. Use the private parking lot directly outside our front doors. You will need to change into a gown to ensure safe, accurate imaging.

Metal & Safety

Remove all metal objects including jewelry, watches, hearing aids, and hairpins. Notify the technologist if you are pregnant, have implants, or any other conditions to guarantee safety.

During the Scan

You will lie comfortably on the MRI table. The technologist communicates throughout the exam. You will hear loud knocking sounds. This is normal. Stay still for the clearest images.

Scan Duration

Times vary depending on the type of MRI being performed. Your technologist will guide you and ensure your comfort, answering questions and adjusting positioning as needed.

After Your MRI

Your images, or reports, will be available to your referring provider within 2 to 3 business days. All patients will receive a CD for their personal medical records.

Insurance & Payments

We accept most major insurance plans and ensure global billing so patients receive a single, clear invoice. Payments are due at the time of service unless prior arrangements are made. This ensures patients receive a statement once their claim is processed by their insurance company.
